What I am reading about?

Well, I'm not a good "just for fun" reader, so this year I committed myself to seek book for my blank spaces days. I did this not just to join the read movement (which I know it's bigger around the whole world haha). Instead i'm doing it for development my own imagination, because with the movies & series's boom these last years, especially with platforms like Netflix (which I think it's cool), I really think - and I'm talking about myself-, that Our creative or inventive sense has been molded.
These productions set the guideline, what it's on top and what is not, and I think when we are watching movies that we prefer to see or popular series, etc., we are following a kind of pattern of stimulation for our minds. I do not know if I'm being clear but I'm a believer of the power of the influences like what has made us being diferents persons; and is because in instantainey moments or in a short-term, different thoughts and stimulis pass throught our heads, and when we are only being stimulated by "patterns" as well, we are being influenced by a selective things.
That's why I do not think we can expand our sensation, imagination and even our opinion with movies or series that much. On the contrary, they are often referred to a very close-minded perspectives of our lives, even if they boast to be fantastic or something.
Ok, the point it's that I think that books has this different dimention, because what do we create (re-created actually) on our minds (with less stimulis), if we feel identify by a character, if we got feelings or whatever, it depend by ourself mostly. I mean, these movies for example, they are great (for sure) but it's like if they had been made to everyone like them. Anyways, it's probably because I don't believe in any Industry because I think their manipulations has no limits.

Sorry for this big explanation, it's sounds like a "conspiration" or something hahaha but I get inspired I think… So, back to the begin, I have one books to present to you.

The first one is from Albert Camus and its called "the foreign". I took this book from my friend's personal library (haha I always do that to anyone if I found something particular front to my eyes, but once i read it, I give it back), maybe she alredy had read it before for school. It's a novel with philosophical approach: existencialism. I'm enjoying because it's easy to get confused about what feeling you have to feel when you are reading it. Sometimes I'm agree with the protagonist, and in others I'm not at all. On perspective this book it's about the experience of life of a guy. This guy seems involved into differents dramatics situations and his response to them is always from the indiference.
I don't want tell more about it because it's not a long book, but I like it because when I imagine these situation I realize about the "shape" that I build those cháracters and places... I realize about what arquetipes are into myself, and in a kind of way it makes me become very introspective.

  1. "Mother died today. Or maybe it was yesterday. I do not know". Phrases like this represent Albert Camus and his existentialism. Great book you chose

  2. I think you are making a very interesting point in to how movies can be hindering our creativity or imagination.
